The Konavle valley is a fascinating region in the hinterland of Dubrovnik.  Known for its traditional way of living, pure olive oil, vineyards, green honey, sweet smelling herbs and embroidery, Konavle is a real ethnographic and natural jewel of Croatia. The main village Čilipi is one of the most important places in this area, well known for the folk dance performance and typical market  on Sunday. The Sunday morning performance shows the beautiful national costumes and the richness in culture and tradition. Even during weekdays, a visit to Čilipi is worthwhile, admire the quiet atmosphere, visit the local museum and have a look in the St Nicolas church.

We suggest an optional drink or lunch near the river Ljuta, the location of the most attractive restaurant in the Konavle valley –  the Konavoski Dvori. Enjoy a typical meal in an unforgettable setting next to the cascading river Ljuta.

A visit to Cavtat should not miss. Cavtat, the most southern town of Croatia, a mix of old and new architecture was originally a Greek settlement called Epidauros. Today Cavtat is an important holiday resort. The waterfront with his palm trees, numerous bars, restaurants and shops allows each visitor great memories.
